Day
2
Drive along the recently build road in Exploradores valley, which eventually
will link the Exploradores glacier with the Laguna San Rafael.
It is un-doubtfully one of the most spectacular valleys with snow-capped
mountains, evergreen forests, torrential rivers, hanging glaciers and
more.
The road ends close to the imposing glacier by the San Valentin Mountain
(4000 mt high, Patagonia’s highest mountain)
A 30 min hike through dense forest will bring us to the moraine and
another couple of hours hike will get us to the crisp clean ice.
Late afternoon return to Coyhaique. |
